Welcome to the Website of the 13th Assembly of the Conference of European Churches, which is due to take place in Lyon, France from July 15-21 2009. Our hope and intention is that this Assembly will not be planned in isolation from our member churches and associated organizations who are invited to join us for this event...  "Hope - European voices crossing borders" is a 50 minute film produced by the Danish Church Media Centre in preparation for the Lyon Assembly. It is intended that churches, delegates and other participants should use the film as a springboard for their personal and collective reflection in relation to the Assembly theme.
We are pleased to invite you to apply for press accreditation for the 13th Assembly of the Conference of European Churches (CEC) to be held in Lyon, France, from 15 – 21 July 2009...
The consultation process with the Member Churches of CEC is an important part of the process towards the Assembly in July. Especially important are reflections and comments on the work priorities for the coming six years. Contributions and comments are expected by the 10th March 2009. Not just an Assembly to which we invite our member churches but an Assembly in which our member churches play their full part.
The 13th CEC Assembly will be held in one of Lyon’s most modern facilities, the Cité Internationale. Located between the river Rhone and the beautiful Parc de la Tete d’Or, this is a 21st century centre offering a whole range of conference facilities, within easy reach of the city centre... |
